Etika Publikasi

Terra: Journal of Forest Management is a scientific publication that contains the results of research,
studies, and development on the field of forestry and the environment. This publication ethics
statement is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process,
namely managers, editors, reviewers, and authors. Ethics statement of this publication

based on the Head of LIPI Regulation Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for
Scientific Publications. This publication ethics upholds three ethical values in publications, namely:
1. Neutrality, which is free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications
2. Justice, namely giving authorship rights to those who are entitled as authors
3. Honesty, which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism of publications


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOURNAL MANAGERS
1. Determine the name of the journal, scientific scope, periodical, and accreditation if needed
2. Determine the membership of the board of editors
3. Define the relationship between publishers, editors, reviewers, and other parties to a contract
4. Respect confidential matters, both for contributing researchers, writers, editors, and peer
reviewers
5. Apply norms and provisions regarding intellectual property rights, especially copyright
6. Review journal policies and submit them to authors, editorial boards, reviewers, and readers
7. Create code code guidelines for editors and reviewers
8. Publish journals regularly
9. Ensure the availability of funding sources for the sustainability of journal publishing
10. Build cooperation and marketing networks; and
11. Prepare permits and other aspects of legality.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOURNAL EDITORS
1. Meeting the needs of readers and authors / writers,
2. Strive to improve the quality of publications on an ongoing basis,
3. Implement processes to ensure the quality of published papers,
4. Promoting freedom of opinion objectively
5. Maintain the integrity of the author's academic track record,
6. Deliver corrections, clarifications, withdrawals, and apologies if necessary
7. Responsible for the style and format of the written work, while the content and all statements in
the written work are the responsibility of the author / writer,
8. Actively solicit the opinions of authors, readers, reviewers, and members of the editorial board
to improve the quality of publications.
9. Encourage the assessment of the journal if there are findings,
10. Support initiatives to reduce research and publication errors by asking authors to attach an
Ethical Statement form
11. Support initiatives to educate researchers on publication ethics,
12. Reviewing the effect of published policies

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF PEER REVIEWER
1. Have an assignment from the editor to review the paper and submit the results of the review to
the editor, as material for determining the eligibility of a paper to be published.
2. The reviewer may not review written works that involve him, either directly or indirectly
3. Maintain the privacy of the author by not disseminating the results of corrections, suggestions,
and recommendations by providing criticism, suggestions, inputs, and recommendations
4. Encourage authors to make improvements to written works
5. Review the corrected paper in accordance with predetermined standards.
6. Papers are reviewed in a timely manner according to the style of publication based on scientific
principles (data collection methods, author legality, conclusions, etc.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE AUTHOR
1. Ensure that those included in the list of authors / authors meet the criteria as authors /
authors.
2. Be collectively responsible for the work and content of the article including methods,
analysis, calculations, and details.
3. State the origin of resources (including funding), either directly or indirectly.
4. Explain limitations in research
5. Respond to comments made by peer reviewers in a professional and timely manner.
6. Inform the editor if he will withdraw his paper.
7. Make a statement that the paper submitted for publication is original, has never been
published anywhere in any language, and is not in the process of being submitted to
another publisher
